Ghost Gun Possession Gets Morrisville Man State Prison Term

MORRISVILLE, PA —A Morrisville man will spend 5-to-10 years in state prison for the illegal possession of five firearms, including three ghost guns, authorities said.

Andrew Richard Bizon, 34, was convicted in July following a tw0-day trial before Common Pleas Judge Charissa J. Liller, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said.

A Bucks County jury found Bizon guilty of five felony counts of prohibited possession of a firearm and one misdemeanor count of possession of an instrument of crime.

On Wednesday, Liller sentenced Bizon to serve up to a decade in prison.

Bizon’s arrest in August 2022 was the result of an investigation by the Bucks County Detectives Drug Strike Force. During the investigation, detectives recovered the firearms, along with ammunition and tools used to make and assemble firearms.

On Aug. 4, 2022, Detectives with the Drug Strike Force executed a search and seizure warrant at Bizon’s residence in the 100 block of Harper Avenue. Bizon was detained after he exited the home.

In an upstairs bedroom, the search uncovered the two rifles and three fully assembled ghost guns.

Detectives also seized approximately 1,000 rounds of ammunition and multiple magazines including high-capacity magazines, as well as a drill and tool kits for firearm assembly.

Through their investigation, law enforcement determined that Bizon had assembled the three ghost guns himself. The investigation found that Bizon was not allowed to possess the firearms because of a 2011 conviction on a felony drug charge.

The case was investigated by the Bucks County Detectives Drug Strike Force, with support from the Morrisville Borough Police Department, Quakertown Borough Police Department, and the U.S. Postal Inspector Service.
