Harvest Day Like 'Christmas' For Yardley Councilman's Daughter
The 54th annual Harvest Day drew praise from Yardley Borough Council members at Tuesday night's meeting.

YARDLEY, PA —The 54th annual Harvest Day drew praise from borough officials and organizers with one council member recalling the excitement of the event by his daughter.
"My daughter said it's her second favorite day next to Christmas," Councilman Matt Curtin said. "It's a big day for the borough."
Crowds flooded the event Saturday though organizers or borough officials did not reveal any attendance figures.

Councilman David Appelbaum, a member of the Harvest Day committee, thanked the police department and staff for their work in putting the event together and Pennsbury students who stayed to clean up and collect trash.

There were 22 food vendors, 150 crafters, more than a dozen non-profit community groups, two free face painters, two free balloon twisters, two bands, two dance troupes, free pony rides, several hundred free pumpkins to decorate, a bookmobile, a blacksmith, a free bounce house, and a free blowup slide to entertain the masses.
The event had expanded this year as well.
"We are overjoyed with the success of Yardley Harvest Day 2022," organizers posted the event's Facebook page. "Thank you to all who came to support the event and its exhibitors. We hope you had a fantastic time discovering unique vendors, enjoying great shows and performances and eating delicious foods with friends and family!"
