Interstate 295 Rest Stop Arrest, Fraud Top Lower Makefield Twp. Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has reported its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —An arrest at an Interstate 295 rest stop, several identity thefts and a few thefts were among the criminal incidents that township police handled in the past week.

Aug. 10

DRUG ARREST —Interstate 295 Rest Stop, reported at 8:38 a.m. Police received a tip about a family living in a vehicle at the location. Police conducted a well-being check. A records check revealed a 38-year-old Trenton man was wanted out of Philadelphia and Bucks County for drug charges. He was in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. He was taken into police custody.

IDENTITY THEFT:

  • 1000 block of South Houston Road, reported at 3:26 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) requested a duplicate Pennsylvania driver’s license with their name but a different address.
  • 1400 block of Heather Circle, reported at 4:15 p.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) purchased a cell phone using their information.

Aug. 9

FRAUD —1600 block of Coolidge Way, reported at 10:23 a.m. The complainant reported visiting an unknown website that caused their computer to freeze, then being advised to transfer cryptocurrency.

Aug. 7

THEFT —100 block of Coventry Court, reported at 11:30 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) intercepted a mailed check, altered it, and cashed it.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —1600 block of Covington Road, reported at 9:51 a.m. The complainant reported damage to a surveillance camera.

Aug. 4

THEFT —1600 block of Trellis Court, reported at 11:53 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) removed their pension check from their mailbox and cashed it.
