K-9 Search Leads To Arrest Of Prison Escapee In Lower Makefield Twp.

Lower Makefield Township Police also made a drug arrest and handled a sextortion scam in recent criminal incidents.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A 4-9 search found an escapee from a New Jersey prison, a sextortion scam, and a drug arrest were among some of the criminal incidents township police recently handled.

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported its criminal incidents for the period of July 21 to July 27.

July 27

FRAUD:
  • Unit block of Fairway Drive, reported at 5:25 p.m. The complainant reported being the victim of a sextortion scam and sent $200 to an unknown person.
  • 700 block of Wynnewood Drive, reported at 8:31 p.m. The complainant reported they received a phishing email and provided their banking information, resulting in $30,000 being removed from their account.

THEFT —1600 block of Bluebird Drive, reported at 3:14 p.m. The complainant reported a known
person used their debit card and sent $100 through CashApp.

July 24

SOLICITORS —400 block of Gayle Drive, reported at 1:32 p.m. The complainant reported a solicitor for Paramount Home Solutions soliciting without permits. They were advised to cease soliciting until permits were obtained.

July 23

IDENTITY THEFT —500 block of Cedar Hollow Drive, reported at 9 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) applied for a credit card in their name.

July 22

DRUG ARREST —Route 332 and Stony Hill Road, reported at 3:57 p.m. Police received an LPR hit on a vehicle for a wanted person. A car stop was conducted and a records check revealed that a 30-year-old Feasterville man was wanted by Bucks County Sheriffs. A 39-year-old male passenger from Philadelphia was taken into custody and charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. A 36-year-old female passenger from Barto was also taken into custody and charged with possession of Fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.

July 21

THEFT —1600 block of Lakeshore Drive, reported at 4:36 p.m. The complainant reported the theft
of undergarments and kitchen utensils from the residence.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE —Clearview Drive and Hayfield Drive, reported at 4:21 p.m. Police responded to the area for the report of an escaped inmate from New Jersey State Prison. Upon arrival, a K9 search was conducted by an LMT K9 officer, who located the suspect in the woods between Woodside Road and Clearview Road. The man was taken into police custody.
