Man With Violent History Wanted For Newtown-Yardley Road Home Burglary: Police

Police are seeking a man with a history of violent crime in connection with a recent residential burglary on Newtown-Yardley Road.

LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — Police in Lower Makefield said they are seeking a Trenton man with a history of violent crime in connection with a residential burglary on Newtown-Yardley Road.

Police said the burglary happened around 9:30 p.m. on June 24 along the 1400 block of Newtown-Yardley Road. Lower Makefield Township detectives determined the suspect is Byron Higginbotham, 50, of Stuyvesant Avenue in Trenton.

An warrant has been issued in connection with the burglary and related offenses.

Anyone with information regarding Higginbotham's whereabouts should call Detective Rich Meehl at 267-274-1163 or Detective John Campbell at 267-274-1165.

"Do not approach or attempt to apprehend, call 911," police said in an announcement, noting Higginbotham has a history of resisting arrest and other violent crime.
