Ransacked Bedroom, DUI Arrest Top Lower Makefield Twp. Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of recent criminal incidents.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A master bedroom was ransacked. A Maryland man was arrested for DUI. And someone opened a utility account in a resident's name in Texas.

Those are some of the criminal incidents The Lower Makefield Township Police Department released in its police blotter on Friday.

Theft —1000 block of Countess Drive, reported at 6:20 a.m., March 9. The complainant reported that two checks were stolen from a mailbox, altered, and cashed.

Theft —1500 block of Hummingbird Court, reported at 1:20 p.m., March 9. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) removed their license plate from their vehicle.

Identity Theft —1300 block of N. Bradford Road, reported at 3:03 p.m., March 9. The complainant reported unknown person(s) opened a utility account in their name in Texas.

Receiving Stolen Property —Big Oak Road and Oxford Valley Road, reported at 3:24 p.m., March 7. While patrolling the area, the LPR reader hit on a stolen vehicle at the location. The vehicle was located in the Makefield Executive Quarters, where a woman was seen getting into the vehicle. Police detained her for investigation.

DUI Arrest —Oxford Valley Road and Big Oak Road, reported at 11:32 p.m., March 5. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 43-year-old Chestertown, Md., man for driving under the influence.

Burglary —200 block of Penn Valley Terrace., reported at 12:53 p.m., March 3. The complainant reported sometime between January and March 3, an unknown person(s) forced entry into the residence via a rear door and ransacked the master bedroom. Nothing is reported missing at this time.
