Ransacked Home, Thefts From Vehicles Top Lower Makefield Twp. Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its police blotter of recent criminal incidents.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A Kathy Drive home was ransacked in a burglary in which jewelry, cash, alcohol, and clothing were stolen earlier this month.

That crime was among the recent criminal incidents the Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported in its police blotter.

Theft From Vehicle —Unit block of E. Crown Terrace, reported at 7:49 a.m., Feb. 23. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed a wallet containing IDs and bank cards. There were two fraudulent charges on the card overnight.

Theft From Vehicle —900 block of Overton Ave., reported at 11:26 a.m., Feb. 23. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed sunglasses and a necklace.

Identity Theft —Unit block of Glenolden Road, reported at 9:47 a.m., Feb. 23. The complainant reported unknown person(s) intercepted a check, washed it, and altered it.

Credit Card Fraud —Unit block of Berkley Drive, reported at 1:10 p.m., Feb. 23. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit card in the amount of $500.

Retail Theft —1600 block of Yardley-Langhorne Rd. at CVS, reported at 7:26 p.m., Feb. 20. An employee reported an unknown man entered the store and removed $500 worth of cold medicine without paying.

Fraud —2200 block of Graystone Lane, reported at 12:30 p.m., Feb. 18. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) made a fraudulent purchase on their Walmart.com account.

Burglary —1400 block of Kathy Drive, reported at 7:17 p.m., Feb. 18. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) entered the residence, ransacked two bedrooms, and removed jewelry, cash, alcohol, and clothing.

Theft —600 block of Rose Hollow Road, reported at 9:20 a.m., Feb. 17. The complainant reported a check they wrote was intercepted and altered.

Theft —1400 block of Green Meadows Road, reported at 2:31 p.m., Feb. 17. The complainant reported a check they wrote was intercepted and altered.

Fraud —Unit block of St. James Place, reported at 12:58 p.m., Feb. 17. The complainant reported receiving an email from who they believed to be their boss asking them to purchase $800 worth of Apple gift cards. The victim purchased $400 worth and provided this information to the unknown person. The retail store stopped the payment.

Criminal Mischief —1000 block of Edgewood Road at the LMT Pool, reported at 3:29 p.m., Feb. 17. The complainant reported a truck doing burnouts in the parking lot.
