Catalytic Converter Hotline Set Up For Bucks Co. Theft Ring Victims
The Bucks County District Attorney said Friday that victims can call or fill out a form to possibly recoup their losses from the ring.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Victims of the catalytic converter theft ring can now call a special hotline to try and recoup their losses, authorities announced Friday.
The Bucks County District Attorney's Office said it has been "inundated with calls and emails" from possible victims of a catalytic converter theft ring that operated in the Delaware Valley. That ring was dismantled earlier this week.
A multi-million-dollar catalytic converter ring that operated throughout the Delaware Valley was dismantled after a year-long investigation. , authorities announced Tuesday.
The investigation resulted in charges against a Philadelphia tow yard, 10 adults, and one juvenile, authorities said.
"If you believe you were a victim of this corrupt organization, we want to hear from you," the District Attorney's Office said.

+ List My BusinessA hotline has been created to monitor and document the calls by the agency's Victim Witness Unit.
A Catalytic Converter Intake Form has also been created so victims can submit their information directly.
From 2020 to 2023, thousands of catalytic converters have been stolen out of Bucks County, costing consumers millions of dollars in damages/repairs, authorities said.
The average cost to repair a stolen catalytic converter is around $2,000.
Authorities said the hotline and form are only for catalytic converter thefts that occurred in Bucks County, which authorities noted in a press conference this week numbered in the thousands.
The office requested patience as its is currently processing the evidence collected and will need to compare information to verify if someone was a victim of the ring. An investigator will reach out once the data has been processed.
