Smashed Traffic Sign, Copper Tubing Theft Top Lower Makefield Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department Friday released its blotter of recent criminal incidents.

7/13/2023
CREDIT CARD FRAUD —Unit block of Fairway Drive, reported at 11:27 a.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their debit card in the amount of $2,479.00.

THEFT —500 block of Heritage Oak Drive, reported at 2:43 p.m. The complainant reported a
unknown person(s) intercepted a mailed check, altered it, and cashed it.
RETAIL THEFT —1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Kohl’s reported at 7:13 p.m. Loss Prevention reported an unknown man entered the store, filled a cart with about $2,000 worth of merchandise, and fled the store without paying. The investigation is ongoing.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE —400 block of Keating Drive, reported at 10:45 a.m. The complainant reported sometime between July 9 and 10, an unknown person(s) removed the catalytic converter from their vehicle.
- 11000 block of Cornerstone Dr. reported at 12:30 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of $5,000 worth of copper tubing and fittings from the construction site.
- 100 block of Elm Avenue, reported at 1:53 p.m. The complainant reported receiving an email from whom they believed to be a company they were doing business with and sending $20,125 via wire transfer. It was later determined the email was not legitimate.

IDENTITY THEFT —900 block of Mount Eyre Road, reported at 10:20 a.m. The complainant
reported an unknown person(s) attempted to open a checking account in their name.

THEFT —700 block of River Road, reported at 3:50 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of a
convex traffic mirror.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —1000 block of Roelofs Road, reported at 3:23 p.m. The complainant reported a traffic sign was removed and smashed in the street.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE —1000 block of Edgewood Road at Lower Makefield Community Park, reported at 5:37 p.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) smashed their window and removed a purse containing their wallet, ID, credit cards, prescription medication and a lottery ticket.

THEFT —800 block of Dukes Court, reported at 3:21 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown man used an ID with their address and withdrew $500 from their bank account.
7/6/2023
FRAUD —1200 block Woodthrush Court, reported at 9:25 a.m. The complainant reported being the victim of fraud that occurred on their bank account on March 18.
RETAIL THEFT —600 block of Stony Hill Road at Rite Aid, reported at 2:31 p.m. An employee reported that a known woman removed items from the packaging and concealed them in her
in her purse, and then left the store. The investigation is ongoing.
CREDIT CARD FRAUD —1000 block of Meridian Way, reported at 3:20 p.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit card in the amount of $703.47.
