Wegmans Theft, House Burglary: Lower Makefield Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents from the past week.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Jewelry and cash were removed during a burglary at a home on Rosalind Run.

Dec. 11

THEFT —300 block of Oxford Valley Road, reported at 3:45 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of a package containing an Apple Ipad and a pencil.

RETAIL THEFT —900 block of Vansant Drive at Wegmans, reported at 3:30 p.m. Loss Prevention detained a 70-year-old township man for taking merchandise without paying. He was taken into police custody.

Dec. 7

IDENTITY THEFT —100 block of Taylorsville Road, reported at 3 p.m. The complainant reported their Facebook and Instagram were hacked. They contacted who they believed to be Meta and provided their personal information. They later determined an unknown person(s) attempted to withdraw $3,500 from their bank account and other apps.

ATTEMPTED FRAUD —1700 block of Westover Court, reported at 12:21 p.m. The complainant reported after activating a new cell phone, they received a call from an unknown person(s) informing them that they received the wrong phone and needed to return it. The complainant recognized this as a scam and did not return the phone.

BURGLARY —600 block of Rosalind Run, reported at 8:02 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) forced entry into the residence via a rear first-floor window and removed jewelry and cash.

ATTEMPTED CREDIT CARD FRAUD —1300 block of Brentwood Road, reported at 5:08 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) attempted to charge their credit card for $33.71.
