Winter Restaurant Week In Yardley Will Return Next Year
Organizers said the first event two weeks ago was such a success that they will hold another one next winter in the borough.

YARDLEY, PA —Winter Restaurant Week in Yardley will have another winter.
Frederick Rabena addressed Borough Council at its meeting last night to say that the first Winter Restaurant Week —held the week of Jan. 30 to Feb. 5 —was so successful that he's going to give it another go next year.
Ten restaurants participated in the event, which features some of the top restaurants in the borough.

Rabena, who operates a restaurant consortium with his wife, said that the participating restaurants reported "great success."
"Some saw a 300 percent uptick in sales," Rabena said. "We'll probably do it again.

Councilman David Appelbaum congratulated Rabena on the restaurant week's success.
Appelbaum, though, said he hoped in the future that Rabena would include other non-profit organizations that might benefit from being involved, such as Experience Yardley.
"It's not a criticism, just a request," the councilman stated.
Rabena said the initiative was planned to just have the three restaurants in the consortium but others wanted to participate once they heard about the event.
Among the participants are: Canal Street Grill, Mil-Lee's Yardley Diner, La La Lobster, the Continental Tavern, and the Yardley Inn.
"We put it together very quickly," Rabena said. "We will plan it out and include more people next time."
Rabena also said Yardley received a lot of publicity from the Yardley Distillery offering a limited-edition "Bleed Green Vodka" with the Philadelphia Eagles being in Super Bowl LVII.
Bleed Green Vodka is available for purchase online at YardleyDistillery.com and at La La Lobster in Yardley Borough.
