Yardley Road Reopens After Flooding
Yardley Police said North Delaware Avenue was closed for a day due to high water from the Delaware River.

YARDLEY, PA —North Delaware Avenue has now reopened Wednesday morning following flooding from heavy rainfall over the weekend, police said.
The Yardley Borough Police Department provided updates on several roadways Wednesday morning that were hit hard by Sunday's storm.

Police said that while high water continues to recede, North Delaware Avenue remains closed and that detours remain in place.
As of 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, the Delaware River is at 17.6 feet with the "action stage" at 17 feet and the "flood stage" at 20 feet, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly. The river hit its highest mark at 18.72 feet Tuesday.

Police said that South Delaware Avenue, which was also closed due to flooding, is now open.
PECO has completed repairs along Woodside Road and that is now open, police said.
PA American Water has completed repairs of a water main break on North Delaware Avenue as well.
