This year, ShopRite associates across nearly 270 stores raised more than $1.34 million.
As part of the campaign, the top 55 fundraising ShopRite stores select associates to be featured on special edition Cheerios boxes that are sold only at ShopRite and unveiled during in-store celebrations from March through May.
At the Yardley store, the featured associates are Sean Walsh, Glenn Frinfrock, Haley Bencivengo and Dorie Menzel.
ShopRite said the broader Partners In Caring initiative is a year-round hunger-fighting effort that works with more than 50 food industry manufacturers and provides $3 million annually to qualified charitable agencies in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
Since its start in 1999, the program has donated $65 million to more than 2,500 charities, according to the company.
The company said the campaign supports emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, child care centers, senior programs, after-school programs and other organizations serving people in need.
The recent event focused on the store’s local fundraising total, the special edition Cheerios box unveiling, and the donation to the Penndel food pantry.
