1-Year-Old Child Involved With Rhode Island DCYF Dies: State

PROVIDENCE, RI — A 1-year-old child involved with the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth & Families has died, the state revealed.

The child died Thursday, DCYF said in a media release.

The Rhode Island Office of the Child Advocate was notified of the death, the release said.

DCYF cited confidentiality laws in providing no further details on the circumstances of the child's death.
