Rhode Island is in for a sunny, warm weekend following Friday night thunderstorms.
Friday evening will be mostly cloudy before isolated showers and thunderstorms move in between 8 and 9 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The low temperature will be about 59 degrees.
Saturday will be sunny with a high of 79.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a clear Saturday night with a low around 61.
Sunday will again be sunny with a high near 79, but there is a chance of showers and a possible a thunderstorm after 2 a.m. overnight Sunday as the low drops to 66.
The work week starts with a rainy, foggy Monday morning with a high temperature near 82 degrees.
Monday night will be cloudy with a low around 63.
