Rhode Island's most iconic seafood shack has been identified by Business Insider.
Business Insider selected the most iconic seafood shack for every state, including the Ocean State.
"Seafood shacks have long been a staple of American dining, from the rocky shores of Maine to coastal California locales," the Business Insider story said.
"While there's bound to be some debate about which seafood shack is the most iconic in every state, we devised this list based on customer reviews, local history, cultural significance, and lasting reputation," Business Insider explained.
For Rhode Island, Business Insider went with Roy Boy's Clam Shack in North Kingstown.
"Opened in 2018 by chef and restaurateur Ben Lloyd, the seasonal shack has earned widespread acclaim for its lobster rolls, crispy whole-belly fried clams, clam cakes, chowder, and inventive seafood specials," Business Insider said of the clam shack, noting that it has "quickly become one of Rhode Island's standout seafood destinations."
