WARWICK, RI — T.F. Green International Airport in Warwick ranked fourth in USA Today's list of best small airports.
"While giant airports like JFK, LAX, and ATL often dominate the travel scene due to the sheer number of passengers who pass through them each day, the United States is home to many smaller, friendly airports that take some of the headaches out of travel," USA Today explained.
As far as the T.F. Green goes, "Loyal fans of Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD) love it as an alternative to Boston Logan International Airport, thanks to shorter lines, less stress, and fast train access with its dedicated train station," USA Today reported.
"It's also a smart, convenient gateway for travelers making their way to scenic Cape Cod," the USA Today story said.
T.F. Green edged out Huntsville International Airport in Alabama but trailed Northwest Arkansas National Airport.
Long Island MacArthur Airport in New York claimed the top spot.
