Block Island Firefighters Rescue Cow From Freezing Pond
The cow was trapped in a freezing pond off West Side Road, according to the fire department.
BLOCK ISLAND, RI — Block Island firefighters rescued a cow trapped in a freezing pond.
Firefighters responded to a "call for a cow stuck in a pond" shortly after 1:15 p.m. Sunday, the department posted to Instagram.
"Crews made quick work utilizing our ice rescue equipment," the post said. "Excellent work by all who responded."
