'Inappropriately' Touching Allegation Leads State To Suspend Massage Therapist's License

The state suspended a Rhode Island massage therapist's license pending an investigation of an allegation of "inappropriately" touching a patient.

A summary suspension of Nicholas Pasquarelli's massage therapist was issued Monday, according to the Rhode Island Department of Health.

Last month, the department of health "received notice that, during practicing massage therapy on or about July 17, 2026, (Pasquarelli) allegedly touched (a patient) inappropriately," and that he "did not record obtaining informed consent for his massage therapy treatment of" the patient, according to the department's findings of fact and conclusions of law.

Pasquarelli "has been licensed as a Massage Therapist in Rhode Island since March 10, 2016," the summary suspension said.

Pasquarelli's LinkedIn page says he has been a contract worker at an East Greenwich massage practice since December 2021.
