Rhode Island Digging Out From Snow With More On The Way
Schools across the state were closed Monday.
Rhode Island was digging itself out from Sunday's massive snowfall with even more snow on the way Monday evening.
Between 12.1 and 18 inches of snow fell by Sunday night, with the deepest measurement in Cranston, according to the National Weather Service.

The snow forced the closure of both runways at Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport in Warwick but they reopened Monday morning.

"Flight schedules may vary, so travelers are encouraged to check flight status with their airline prior to arriving at the airport," according to a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
Schools across the state were closed Monday due to the snow.
Early voting was canceled in the Coventry Districts 4 and 5, the North Smithfield Referendum, and the Warwick Referendum elections due to the storm.

Warwick city offices were closed, Coventry delayed opening and North Smithfield offices were closed.
More snow is in the forecast for Monday evening, mainly after 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service, but little or no additional accumulation is expected.
Snow will fall again after 10 p.m. with less than a half-inch of accumulation. The low temperature Monday night is around 10 degrees.

The high temperature for a sunny Tuesday will be about 24 degrees but the wind chill will make it feel more like -3.
Tuesday will drop to 7 degrees with the wind chill at -4 but Wednesday will warm back up to 24 degrees.
