Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Claimants Targeted By Fraudsters: DLT

Rhode Island Workers' Compensation claimants have reported receiving scam emails, according to the Department of Labor and Training.

"Some claimants have reported receiving emails about a 'Motion to Reopen Proceedings,'" the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training said in a post on its website.

"If you get an email or notice like this, do not click on any links," the post said.

"Instead, report the message as phishing and block the sender," according to the post. "These communications are fraudulent and did not come from the Department."
