Snowstorm To Cause 'Significant Travel Disruptions' For Rhode Island
The Sunday snowstorm will drop a good amount of snow on Rhode Island, according to AccuWeather.
Sunday's storm could drop as much as 8 inches of snow on Rhode Island, according to the AccuWeather forecast.
"A major winter storm this weekend will cause significant travel disruptions," AccuWeather warned, putting the chance of between 4 and 8 inches of snow falling at 42%.

Sunday will also have a "thick cloud cover" and "rapidly deteriorating road conditions can lead to slow and slippery travel," AccuWeather predicted.

The National Weather Service forecast called for snow after 8 a.m. Sunday.
"The snow could be heavy at times," according to the National Weather Service forecast, which put the high temperature for Sunday near 25 degrees and the Sunday night low about 17.

The chance of precipitation is 90%, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather leading up to the Sunday storm should be relatively pleasant, with sunny skies Friday and a high near 34.

Saturday will again be Sunday but colder, with a high about 17 degrees.
The temperature drops to a frigid 7 degrees Saturday night with the snow likely started before sunrise, about 5 a.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
