Boy, 16, Charged With Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct
The teen allegedly interfered in a incident with police officers and EMTs responding to a possible drug overdose by his brother.

A 16-year-old Federal Road boy faces three Barrington police charges after a disturbance at his home late Saturday night, Nov. 26.
The teen was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer in the execution of his duty and resisting arrest, Barrington police said. His arrest came after police responded to a 11:34 pm call from his mother that his 18-year-old brother may have overdosed on drugs.
Police restrained the 18-year-old with handcuffs after they arrived for his own safety, said Police Chief John LaCross. The 16-year-old and his father had previously tried to restrain the 18-year-old, who appeared to have been drinking and taking drugs.

While police restrained the 18-year-old, the 16-year-old starting yelling obscenities at and interfering with police officers, LaCross said. The teen was arraigned in the police station and released to the custody of another brother.
The 18-year-old was taken by Barrington EMTs to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.

Woman faces drug charges
A 37-year-old Warren woman faces drunk driving and illegal drug possession charges by Barrington police.
Nicole M. Pagnozzi, of 19 Sisson St., was stopped at 2:29 am on Saturday, Nov. 26, while driving south on County Road near Winsor Drive. Police said she failed a blood test and was found to be transporting Schedule I, II, III, IV, and V controlled substances.
Pagnozzi also refused to take a chemical test. She was arraigned by a justice of the peace at the police station and released on bail to her mother.
Credit card fraud charged
Another former Warren woman, 32, faces five Barrington police charges of fraudulent use of credit cards.
Christine A. Freitas, now believed to be homeless after living on Seymour Street, was picked up by Warren police on a District Court bench warrant at 12:30 pm on Friday, Nov. 25, police said.
Freitas is the same woman who was living in a tent at a makeshift campsite in the woods behind the Shaw's supermarket off the East Bay Bike Path. The campsite was reported by a resident to police.
Freitas was arraigned by a justice of the peace in the Barrington police station and released on bail.
'Party patrol' nabs 'pot' possessors
Two Riverside residents face marijuana possession charges after they were pulled over in a vehicle by a Barrington “party patrol” unit on Thursday evening, Nov. 24.
Justin A. Draine, 20, of 66 Tanglewood Drive, and Travis O. Corrigan, 20, of 27 Colony Road, were stopped on Middle Highway near Primrose Hill School at 7:40 pm for speeding and driving without a license plate light, police said.
Officers detected the odor of marijuana in the vehicle, police said, and found the illegal substance in the car. The men were arraigned in the police station and released about 9:15 pm.
Woman, man charged with drug possession
A Barrington woman, 24, and a Warren man, 19, face marijuana possession charges by Barrington police.
Giana M. Silveira, of 91 Sowams Road, and Max G. Silveira, 19, of 150 Main St., were stopped by police at 11:18 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at the intersection of Foote and Caldarone streets after their vehicle was observed cutting in front of another car on County Road at Maple Avenue.
A police officer tailed the vehicle through the Maple Avenue neighborhood before pulling it over. An odor of marijuana was detected in the car, police said. A search of the vehicle found the controlled substance and smoking pipes and other implements under the front seat.
Max Silveira also was charged with driving under the influence, refusing to submit to a chemical test, possession of alcohol by an underage person, and driving in possession of controlled substances.
Both Silveiras were arraigned in the police station by a justice of the peace and released.
