What's the Point of Public School?
It seems like for every example of good learning I find, there are also a multitude of obstacles standing in the way.
Supporting my children through their public school education over the past several years has been anything but smooth-sailing. It seems like for every example of good learning I find, there are also a multitude of obstacles standing in the way.
Sometimes I wonder if all this difficulty is rooted in a basic difference of opinion, if the gap between our philosophies of education is just too vast to bridge. I'm curious what other parents and neighbors think, so I pose this question: What is the point of public school?
