Bristol Company Builds Record-Breaking Giant Surfboard
Watch 66 people ride a massive surfboard to break a world record.

Sixty-six people rode their way into the record books Saturday by piling on a 1,100-pound surfboard and catching a wave in Huntington Beach, California.
According to the Orange County Register, thousands watched as the surfers earned the Guinness World Record for the most people surfing on a single board, breaking the previous record set in Australia where 47 surfers rode a wave for 10 seconds 10 years ago.
The 43-foot long surfboard was built by none other than mouldCAM of Bristol.

āIt was a pretty difficult project actually getting it in the water, getting everybody onboard it and getting it towed out to the area to actually break the record,ā mouldCAM President John Barnitt told WPRO. āāWhen they were on the wave it seemed pretty easy, but when they were towing it out to the shore break, I did have that moment where I thought oh boy!ā
