Raimondo to Mark 100 Days as Governor with Events in Warren
Governor Gina Raimondo will appear at Lial Acres and Hope and Main Food Business Incubator in Warren on Thursday to mark her first 100 days.

Governor Gina Raimondo will mark her first 100 days in office with a few appearances here in Warren.
The governor said that her focus during the first 100 days has been how to encourage economic growth and the stops are meant to represent positive things happening on the front lines.
At 10 a.m., Raimondo will begin the day a Lial Acres, the 100th Rhode Island farm to be preserved by the Rhode Island Agricultural Land Preservation Commission.

Then, she and her husband, First Gentleman Andy Moffit, will visit the Hope and Main Business Incubator to ārecognize the stateās commitment to preserving farms and open space and to highlight the findings from the 2014 update to URIās Green Industry Economic Impact study,ā according to a release.
āOver the course of these first 100 Days, my top focus has been on how to jumpstart an economy that is out of gas,ā Raimondo said. āWith every action, I have asked how does this create opportunity for Rhode Islanders and how does it help support businesses to grow, expand and create jobs. My commitment will remain steadfast for the next 100 days and beyond.ā

Later in the afternoon, the Governor will recognize the 100th Anniversary of Yacht Club Soda and Navigant Credit Union, two Northern Rhode Island businesses celebrating 100 years of operations, in North Providence.
Lial Farms is about 50-acres and has been in operation for more than 100 years, growing vegetables, corn and hay. It also is near the Kickemuit River and plays an important role in the filtration of groundwater into the river, and ultimately, into Narragansett Bay.
