True North 34 Outboard Express Wins Award at Newport International Boat Show

Newport, R.I. – Newport Exhibition Group, owners and producers of the Newport International Boat Show, announced today the True North 34 Outboard Express, presented by US Watercraft of Warren, RI, was named the 2014 Newport International Boat Show Newport For New ProductsTM (NFNP) award winner for Best New Powerboat 30 Feet and Over. The NFNP Awards are a highlight of the industry and are open to domestic and foreign products launched in the U.S. after April 1, 2014 that made their boat show debut at Newport. Judged on Thursday during the opening day of the Show, the True North 34 was selected by a team of industry experts on the basis of innovation, value to the consumer, safety and aesthetics.

On selecting the True North 34 Outboard Express, judges’ comments included: “Whether your boating takes you fishing, diving, or on a day trip with the family, the True North 34 Outboard Express can be any powerboat you want. It offers so much flexibility. The outboard engines open up the deck space, and the adventure racks and optional side door for scuba diving, coupled with a 2-foot draft for accessibility and joystick handling, really shows how the Outboard Express is meant to be used.”

The Newport International Boat Show opened on Thursday, September 11th and continues through Sunday, September 14th, 2014 along the Newport Waterfront on America’s Cup Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island.
