Warren Housing Authority Rolls Out User-Friendly Website

The Warren Housing Authority hopes the new website will make it easier to apply.

After hearing about success stories from the Bristol Housing Authority's relatively new website, The Warren Housing Authority has unveiled their own new website. The website was created in hopes of making the process of reaching out to the public more efficient and effective.

Like the Bristol site, the Warren Housing Authority website will offerĀ a downloadable housing application to make documentation and information easily accessible for those who may qualify.

ā€œAn increasing number of seniors are using the internet and the Warren Housing Authority recognizes the need to improve its technology,ā€ says WHA Executive Director,Ā Claire Martins. ā€œThis effort will not only be beneficial to the public, it will aid the environment as well. By using less paper we can begin to move towards a more sustainable and greener existence.ā€

According to the organization, the WHA is "committed to providing quality, affordable housing to senior citizens in the community and believes these upgrades will offer greater opportunity for people to tap into the agency."

Currently, the public housing list is open and seeking applicants who may qualify for housing.Ā The income guidelines are as follows:

  • Income Ā limits for Elderly Public Housing
  • 1 Ā Person - $40,400Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā 
  • Ā 2 Persons - $46,200

The WHA welcomes any qualified senior citizens to file an application either through theĀ new website at www.warrenhousing.orgĀ  or by calling the office for an application atĀ 245-7019Ā Ā The office is located at 20 Libby Lane in Warren.
