• More RI tenants say they weren't warned their property manager was a sex offender (wpri.com) — Central Falls residents are learning that local police did not notify them that a property manager with access to their homes was a registered Level 3 sex offender, despite automated alerts sent to the department. The report details similar notification failures in Woonsocket and earlier cases in Providence and Pawtucket, and outlines how state police are now working with all municipalities to tighten sex offender communication procedures. The offender's current case is still moving through court. 
• Biking 114 miles through 15 towns, powered by RI ice cream (providencejournal.com) — A long-distance cyclist rides Rhode Island's major bike paths and passes through Central Falls while connecting Pawtucket and Cumberland on the Blackstone River Bikeway. Along the way, he fuels up with local ice cream from three different shops and reflects on the challenge of completing more than 100 miles in a single day.
