No Tricks, Just the Treats!

If you are looking for a fun and easy activity to share with your kids this Halloween, why not whip up a batch of Booooreos?  Booooreos are chocolate covered Oreo cookies, and they taste absolutely yummylicious! 

It is as easy as 1-2-3 once you have gathered the needed ingredients.

Merckens Chocolate Candy Melts

 1 Lb. of Merckens Candy Melts will make 16 Booooreos.

1.  Melt Merckens Candy Melts in a microwave safe glass bowl, in the microwave.  Microwave in 30 second intervals until melted, stirring in between.  The more you stir your melted candy, the shinier it will be.  Do not overheat your candy!

2.  Fill each cavity of your Sandwich Cookie Mold with 1 tablespoon of melted Merckens Chocolate Candy Melts.  Add an Oreo, cover with additional melted candy.  Tap the mold on the counter so all the melted candy will seep down into the mold and surround the cookie. 

3.  Refrigerate until set, approximately 10 minutes. Pop them out of the mold.

4.  Decorate as desired.  To make the spooktacular spider Booooreos as shown, fill a plastic baggie with lighter colored melted Merckens Candy Melts, snip the corner and pipe legs onto your cookie.  Put a dab of melted candy on the back of sugar eyes and stick to your cookie.
