Building Community Through Events at NEFA

I love interacting with my customers when they come into the shop. However, I have found that one of the best ways to really get to know folks is through the events held here at NEFA. During September we have had some interesting events, including a historical talk about Washington Village and the Paine House, a workshop on making goat milk soap, a chance to learn more about Timebanking, and a relaxing class on zen drawing. Because we are drawing together people with similar values, the atmosphere during the events is very positive, friendly and enjoyable. Not only do we learn new things, but we make new friends and have a laugh or two also!

If you have not tried a workshop or event here at NEFA, I encourage you to do so. The remaining events in September include another chance at learning about Timebanking if you could not make the first session, Paranormal Investigation 101, a sustainability circle with the topic "Hungry for Change: Food Ethics and Sustainability" and how to create a unique piece of art called Representational Life Portraits.

We are working on an exciting list of events for October, stay tuned and hope to meet at NEFA soon!
