Coventry Public Schools to Host Military Awareness Night
The program will provide valuable information to military families.
On Feb. 8, Coventry Public Schools will be offering a “Military Awareness Night” to Coventry military members and their families at at 6 p.m.. The night will be filled with information on free camps and activities offered to the youth of military families presented by members of the RI National Guard and RI Family Assistance Center.
In addition, adults will have to chance to learn about how to deal with the “Emotional Cycle” during the deployment of a loved one. Parents and other family members will also be sharing their military experiences to benefit one another.

The first part of the presentation is open to all family members including children. Children will then be excused to take part in supervised activities. Child care will be provided for military children only.
