Coventry Republicans Gather at Local Fundraiser

Members of the Coventry Republican Town Committee along with more than 80 local residents and dignitaries attended a steak fry fundraiser on Friday at to support Coventry candidates running for local and in some cases, state offices.

Committee Chairman Charles Vacca introduced a host of speakers including Sen. Glenn Shibley, as well as guest speakers, Michael Gardner, Michael Reilly — both running for Congress — Lisa Blais from the Ocean State Tea Party for Action, and Barry Hinckley who is running for the U.S. Senate. 

Also in attendance were Coventry Town Councilmen Ray Spear and Carl Mattson, as well as former state Sen. Leo Blais and former state Rep. Nick Gorham. At the event, Keith Anderson announced his candidacy for the General Assembly.
