Coventry firefighters, exhausted from yet another busy weekend marked by fires, car crashes and pedestrian accidents, battled a house fire at 11 Maplewood Drive on Monday — twice.
The fire broke out Monday afternoon and crews were able to put out the fire, which started on the side of the house and spread towards the rest of the house.
The fire rekindled at around midnight on Tuesday.

There were no injuries and firefighters did not report a cause for the fire.
A resident was still in the house when the first responders arrived but managed to escape before the fire rapidly spread.

On Monday alone, Coventry crews responded to 29 alarms beginning at 7 a.m.. They also performed CPR on three people, including the fatal pedestrian accident Monday night. Plus, there was a rollover near Centre of New England Boulevard during which three people were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries after the Chevy Blazer they were driving overturned.
On Sunday, firefighters battled a raging fire on Poppin John Lane that destroyed a mobile home, two SUVs and a motorcycle.
