Coventry residents supporting the Central Coventry Taskforce for Fire Protection are in Coventry neighborhoods this weekend, distributing a flyer recommending a "yes" vote on the $5.6 million Fire District budget.
In its flyer, the taskforce notes that neither the Board's budget nor the $6 million "Guthrie Budget" are perfect - nor sufficient to fund the current Union contract. The Fire District Board's budget it is the better alternative, and guarantees funds are available for fire and emergency services.
CCFD residents will be able to vote on the budget on Monday night at 7 p.m. at Coventry High School. A copy of the flyer being distributed this weekend is attached.
