Today is Wednesday, Apr. 4. Here are five things you need to know:

Blackrock School Donations: The community is current looking for donations for student use during indoor and outdoor recess. Items include: sidewalk chalk, jump ropes, playground balls, basketballs, wiffle balls, crayons, age-appropriate games and coloring/game books. Gently used items with all pieces and in good condition will be gladly accepted.
Free Blood Pressure Screening: Avoid health complications by keeping your blood pressure in check! Hope Library (374 North Rd., Hope) offers free blood pressure screenings on Wednesdays from 1:30-4:30 and 6-8 p.m.

CPL Evening Storytime: Children ages 3-8 are invited to the tonight at 6:30 p.m. for an evening story program featuring stories, fingerplays, flannelboards, songs and crafts. Kids are invited to wear their PJs, too! No registration required.
Cal Ripken League Orientation: The Coventry Cal Ripken League is hosting a parent/player orientation tonight at Club Jogues (184 Boston St.) at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the upcoming season, the new division structure and fundraising. Families will also get to meet the coaches and enjoy light refreshments.

Anthony Fire Tax Abatement Meeting: Residents who would like to hear more about and comment on the recent suggestion that Anthony Fire District follow a similar tax abatement process as was done for the Anthony Mill Complex, should report to tonight at 7 p.m.
