• Coventry man grows first recorded pumpkin over 3,000 pounds (wpri.com) — Coventry resident Ron Wallace has grown a colossal 3,156‑pound pumpkin, setting a new world record at the Southern New England Giant Pumpkin Weigh‑Off in Warren. His pumpkin beat the previous record by nearly 300 pounds, continuing Wallace's long streak of record‑breaking giant gourds while the official Guinness certification is still pending.
