Raptakis Wins Endorsement of East Greenwich Democratic Town Committee
The Committee has named Raptakis as its choice in the State Senate District 33 Race.

, who previously served in the State Senate representing a portion of East Greenwich, has won the endorsement of the East Greenwich Democratic Town Committee. The East Greenwich Democrats voted to give him the endorsement at a meeting on Tuesday night.
“Lou has always been a great advocate for East Greenwich and he promises to once again be an effective voice for us in the General Assembly,” said Tom Plunkett, chair of the East Greenwich Democratic Town Committee. “At a time with so many challenges facing our state, we believe Lou will once again work to protect the interests of our communities and strive to promote job growth and meaningful economic development.”

Raptakis added, “I’ve been proud to serve the people of East Greenwich in the past and I look forward to having the opportunity to once again fight for their interests in the State Senate. Our communities need a strong advocate in the State House and I look forward to building on my record as someone who promotes common-sense policies and serves as a watchdog for taxpayers.”
Raptakis is running for State Senate in District 33, which represents portions of Coventry, West Warwick and East Greenwich. The Democratic primary will take place next Tuesday, September 11th.
