Town Land Surveyor Bid Invitation

 Bids are currently being accepted for a Rhode Island Registered Professional Land Surveyor to conduct a Class I land survey of a 175 +/- acre parcel of land to be acquired by the Town of Coventry pursuant to an Open Space Grant awarded by the State of Rhode Island, Department of Environmental Management.

Sealed bids will be opened and read at the on Dec. 6 at 1 p.m.. The award of contract will be made by the Town Council as soon thereafter as practical. The Town of Coventry reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any formalities in a bid, to make awards to separate bidders, to make awards to more bidders, or to accept that bid or bidders which in the judgment of the awarding authority is in the best interest of the Town.

Specifications and information for bidders may be obtained at the , 1675 Flat River Rd no later than 12:00 p.m. noon on Dec. 6.

In consideration of selection of the successful bidder the Town shall take into consideration the relative experience of the bidder, past performance and/or familiarity with the Town of Coventry and similar municipalities, project understanding, overall quality and responsiveness of bid to include record of bidder in accomplishing similar work in the required time frame and cost of scope of work to include accuracy of bid proposals. This is not a project in which the successful bidder will be based solely on the lowest cost proposal.

Bid envelopes must be clearly marked "Registered Professional Land Surveyor."
