Coronavirus In Rhode Island: Town-By-Town Breakdown

RHODE ISLAND — The latest data from the state Department of Health showed that the highest concentration of cases of the new coronavirus in the state are in densely populated areas, including Providence and Pawtucket.

The most cases have been reported in people aged 50 to 59, followed by those aged 60 to 69. Cases have been growing exponentially, with a sharp increase in hospitalizations as well. There were 123 people in the hospital as of Tuesday. There were 147 new cases confirmed Tuesday, bringing the state's total to 1,229. To date, there have been 30 deaths.
