Cranston man stole more than $1,500 In Property: Cops
While the cops say the Cranston man stole more than $1,500 in property, they conceded it was less than $5,000, police said.
CRANSTON, RI โ A Cranston man stole more than $1,500 worth of property, police said.
John Depasquale, 45, was arrested Thursday and charged with obtaining property by false pretenses or personation over $1,500 but under $5,000, fraudulently obtaining public assistance over $500 and giving a false document to an agent, employee or public official, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Depasquale was apprehended by the state police Financial Crimes Unit, according to the release.

Depasquale was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned and released with a Third District Court date, police said.
