The mayor said he has no symptoms but will be working entirely from home for the next two weeks.

CRANSTON, RI — Cranston Mayor Allan Fung is under self-quarantine for the next two weeks after his wife tested positive for the new coronavirus. Fung will continue to work from home during that time, he said, delivering his budget presentation and state of the city address as planned.

Fung's wife, Barbara Fenton-Fung, is a health care worker who has been working on the front lines of the pandemic, he said. She "developed a dry cough [Monday] morning and tested positive for COVID-19 late in the afternoon," he said in a statement on Facebook.

"At this point. her symptoms are relatively mild," Fung said. "I remain completely asymptomatic, but will work full-time from home over the next two weeks. You can all watch my final State of the City speech and budget introduction live from our kitchen Thursday night... What a weird 2020 this has been!"
