Cranston's Placencia is one of PBN's "40 Under Forty"

Webster Bank's Patricia Placencia, of Cranston, has been named to the 2012 Providence Business News “40 Under Forty.”

Placencia joined Webster in January 2012 as Vice President, Sales Manager for the bank’s mortgage and consumer finance division. Under her leadership, the bank’s Rhode Island consumer sales team has grown more than five-fold in six months’ time. Prior to joining Webster, she spent 12 years working for Bank of America in Rhode Island. Currently a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Placencia has also served on the boards of The Girl Scouts of Rhode Island and the Fund for Community Progress.

Providence Business News’s 40 Under Forty winners are selected based on career success and community involvement. All are young professionals who have made a commitment to making a difference on a local, national or international scale. More than 100 men and women were nominated for the 2012 class; they will be honored at the Providence Business News’s 40 Under Forty reception at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport on July 26, and profiled in the PBN’s July 30 issue.
