Cranston West's Anthony Meo Drafted by Arizona Diamondbacks
Anthony Meo, who played ball on the Cranston West Falcons and is now a junior at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina, was the 63rd pick in the MLB draft.

Anthony Meo, who was an all-star baseball player for the Cranston West Falcons before going to Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina, has been drafted in the second round of the MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Mao, who was listed as the No. 19 prospect by ESPN, has been playing ball since his childhood in the CLCF.
Mao, a pitcher, went 11-0 in his junior year of high school. Now a junior in college, he is 22-4 with a 2.74 ERA and 162 strikeouts in 173.5 innings. He was first-team All-American with a 13-2 record with a 2.61 ERA last year as well as the Big South Conference pitcher of the year.
