Cranston Woman Takes VP Job at Hebrew Rehabilitation Center

Hebrew SeniorLife, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School and the largest provider of senior health care and housing in New England, announced that Robin Lynch, a Cranston resident, is their new vice president of quality and regulatory affairs for Hebrew Rehabilitation Center.

Lynch brings a 30-year career in quality, operations and risk management in New England area hospitals.

She leaves Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River, Mass., to join Hebrew SeniorLife.

At Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, Lynch will lead a quality performance improvement imitative at the Dedham and Roslindale campuses. She will also serve on a quality council and direct integration of quality functions with infection control, security, safety and regulatory affairs.

“I am excited to be part of such a motivated group of health care professionals who are committed to advancing the level of care for seniors in this country,” Lynch said in a release.

At Saint Anne’s Hospital, Lynch was responsible for quality and risk management, overseeing infection control and patient relations for the 140 inpatient bed facility with more than 16 satellite locations. While at Saint Anne’s she also served as the hospital patient safety officer and patient assessment coordinator for the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine with oversight for all regulatory and state agency reporting. In addition, Lynch was integral in securing the hospital’s 2011 awards from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Critical Care Societies for eliminating healthcare-associated infections in ventilator-associated pneumonia, and from Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue for Distinction in total knee replacement.
 
Prior to joining Saint Anne’s Hospital, Lynch was the director for quality and risk management at the MetroWest Medical Center, Tenet and Vanguard Healthcare Systems in Framingham and Natick, Mass., from 2002 to 2006. In this role, Lynch was responsible for more than 400 inpatient beds in a two-campus acute care facility.  Before her tenure at MetroWest Medical Center, Tenet and Vanguard Healthcare Systems, Lynch served as the director of care management at The Westerly Hospital in Westerly, R.I. and, prior to that, as the director of nursing education, performance improvement and nursing programs at St. Joseph Healthcare Services of Rhode Island in North Providence.
 
Lynch is a member of the Massachusetts Society for Healthcare Risk Management, and the Massachusetts and National Associations for Healthcare Quality. She is also a past chapter president and past executive board member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality. Lynch received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Rhode Island College and an M.S. in nursing and a certificate of advanced graduate study in administration from Boston University.
