Crossing Guard Injured on the Job to Get Award

Eunique Williams was seriously injured on the job a few months ago. In the process, she kept Cranston school children safe.

A local crossing guard who was injured on the job will be getting honors from Cranston Mayor Allan W. Fung later today.

Eunique Williams "used extraordinary judgement and timing in holding off on crossing school children while sensing an impending collision that cost her dearly," a release stated.

Williams, who is still recovering from her injuries, will be presented a "valor award" from the mayor today a 3 p.m. at an NESCTC open house event.
