BASICS has been working all summer to put together an afterschool music program for elementary students, scheduled to begin the week of October 25. “The first year of the music program was hugely successful. Over 200 students participated in the program and we hope to have more students this year.” said President Kerri Kelleher. She continued, “The Walk is crucial to our providing access to music instruction to make up for what was lost in the school budget.”

There is a minimum $5 donation per child if pre-registered and $7 for the night of the event.

Walkers will enjoy fun activities like face painting, indoor bounce houses, balloon animals and free t-shirts. All Cranston students are welcome to participate in Friday night’s events. Registration packets went home with elementary students the first week in October, and will be available on the BASICS website at www.BASICS-RI.com.
