The new JLI course will span a wide range of intriguing subjects and questions, such as:

  • Should it be legal for public employees to unionize and bargain with politicians for your tax money?
  • After purchasing a ticket for a ball game, can you move to an unoccupied, higher-priced seat?
  • If someone earns the money later in life, should they be obligated to repay their settled debts?
  • Should trading on inside information be considered a crime?
  • What is the Jewish ethical perspective on the minimum wage?
  • Is Judaism capitalist or socialist?

The six-session series is accredited for CLE and CEU credits and is designed to appeal to people at all levels of Jewish knowledge, including those without any prior experience or background in Jewish learning.
