Girls Tennis: Falcons Remain Unbeaten with Victory Over Classical
Cranston West improves to 4-0 after Tuesday's 7-0 victory over Classical.
On Tuesday afternoon at Cranston West High School, the Falcons squared off against Classical in girls tennis. West dominated and won all seven matches in straight sets.
In the match-up of number ones, Falcons captain Tressa Camata defeated Sachie Springwater 6-1, 6-2. Camata remains unbeaten on the season.
Falcons junior Jenna Grossi, their number two, defeated the Purple's Lilika Negishi 6-2, 6-2. West continued their fantastic play with the number three singles match. Junior Rebecca Scialabba won the match 6-3, 6-0.

West's co-captain, Danielle Leonardo, wrapped up the 4-0 sweep in singles play with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Joely Barrios.
The doubles play by Cranston West followed suit of their domination in the singles matches. Bridgett Wall and Amanda Carmodi won their match 6-0, 6-2.

In the final two doubles matches Falcons tandems Erin Rabbit and Alli Villari and Alessandra Portukalian and Danielle Dulieu took care of business, winning in straight sets. West won the match 7-0 and improves to 4-0 on the season.
West head coach, Jim Lucas, praised his team's work ethic.
"They all give 110% at all times," he said. "The focus and attitude is very good with all of my girls."
