Icy Roads Blamed In String Of Overnight Crashes
Between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, state troopers responded to 10 crashes on Rhode Island roadways.

Wet snow and freezing rain late made for slippery road conditions overnight. Between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, troopers responded to 10 crashes, which they say is slightly more than usual.
Of the crashes, state police say none were major and no serious injuries were reported.

In icy conditions, drivers are encouraged to reduce speeds and allow extra travel time.
